For most of my career, I worked in research and analytics. While I enjoyed solving complex problems, I found myself increasingly drawn toward something more tangible: making things by hand.
What began as an exploration of timber, light, and form gradually evolved into RS Studio.

It takes 49 individual steps to make a Portable Bubble Lamp.
From selecting the timber and precision laser cutting each component, to transforming a rigid timber panel into a flexible kerfed form, shaping its distinctive curve, then carefully sanding, finishing and assembling each piece, every lamp is handcrafted in our Melbourne workshop.
