For most of my career, I worked in research and analytics. While I enjoyed solving complex problems, I found myself increasingly drawn toward something more tangible: making things by hand.

What began as an exploration of timber, light, and form gradually evolved into RS Studio.

Handcrafted Lighting for Every Space

Made in Melbourne from sustainably sourced Australian native timber, every RS Studio lamp is carefully crafted to explore the interplay of light, shadow, and atmosphere.

Precise laser cut patterns allow light to filter through the timber, casting distinctive shadows across surrounding surfaces and revealing the natural character of each piece. From sculptural statement lamps to portable mood lighting, the collection is designed to bring warmth and a calming presence to bedrooms, living spaces, dining areas, reading nooks and quiet corners of the home.

RS Studio mood lamps combine the warmth and character of Australian native timber with soft, atmospheric light.

Designed to be both functional lighting and sculptural objects, each piece adds atmosphere to a space, creating a gentle play of illumination and texture.

Each RS Studio lamp is designed, made and assembled in Melbourne using sustainably sourced Australian native timbers selected for their natural grain, colour and individual character.

Thoughtful design and precision making transform the timber into curved sculptural forms that come alive when illuminated. The result is lighting that celebrates both the material and the atmosphere it creates.
