Are your lamps covered by a warranty?
Yes. RS Studio lamps are covered by a two-year warranty from the date of purchase against defects or failure of parts, excluding fair wear and tear.
For portable lamps, the removable rechargeable LED module is covered for one year from the date of purchase. Read our warranty policy.
What is your returns policy?
We want you to be completely happy with your lamp. You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, subject to the conditions in our returns policy. Read our returns policy.
When will I receive my order?
Lamps that are in stock are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days. Made-to-order pieces are usually ready to ship within 7–10 business days.
You’ll receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched. Delivery time is additional to the production timeframe.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free standard shipping Australia-wide on all lamps. Standard delivery generally takes 5–8 business days after dispatch, depending on your location.

Where are your lamps made?
Every RS Studio lamp is designed, manufactured and assembled in Melbourne, Australia. Our lamps are certified to carry the Australian Made logo. Read about Australian Made.
Are the lamps supplied flat-packed?
No. Every lamp arrives fully assembled, hand-finished and tested in our Melbourne studio. For portable lamps, you may only need to position the removable LED module inside the timber frame.
Can the LED module be replaced?
Yes. The rechargeable LED module is removable, so it can be replaced without replacing the handcrafted timber lamp. Contact RS Studio if you need assistance identifying the correct replacement module.
Using Your Lamp
How do I install the removable LED module?
The rechargeable LED module is designed to fit securely inside the timber lamp.
- Fully charge the LED module before first use.
- Position the module inside the base of the lamp with the light facing downwards.
- Gently press it into place until the magnet clicks into position.
- Use the button on the module or the supplied remote control to turn on and adjust the light.
How do I operate the LED module?
The button on the side of the LED module controls its main functions:
- Tap once to turn the light on or off.
- Tap repeatedly to cycle through the three colour temperatures: warm white, natural white and cool white.
- Press and hold to adjust the brightness. Release the button when you reach your preferred light level.
You can also control the lamp using the supplied remote control.
How do I use the remote control?
The supplied remote lets you:
- Turn the lamp on and off
- Select warm white, natural white or cool white light
- Adjust the brightness to 10%, 30%, 50%, 70% or 100%
- Set a 15, 30 or 60-minute timer
Point the remote towards the LED module when selecting a setting.
How long does the battery last?
A portable lamp provides approximately 12 hours of light on its highest brightness setting and up to 60 hours on its lowest setting.
Battery life will vary depending on the brightness and colour-temperature settings used.
How do I charge the lamp?
Remove the LED module and connect the supplied USB-C cable to a suitable USB power source.
An indicator light will glow red when charging and turn off when fully charged.
A full charge generally takes approximately 3–4 hours.
Is the lamp suitable for reading?
RS Studio lamps are designed primarily for decorative and mood lighting rather than focused task lighting. They create a warm, calming atmosphere in bedrooms, living areas, dining spaces and hospitality settings.
Can I put a candle inside the lamp?
No. RS Studio lamps are designed exclusively for use with the supplied LED light source. Never place a candle, open flame or heat-producing light inside the timber frame.
Can portable lamps be used outdoors?
Portable lamps may be used temporarily outdoors in dry, sheltered conditions, making them suitable for covered patios, balconies and outdoor dining.
They are not waterproof and should not be left outside or exposed to rain, moisture, humid conditions, extreme heat or direct sunlight. Always store your lamp indoors after use.

What are the lamps made from?
Our lamps are crafted from sustainable plywood finished with decorative Australian timber veneers, including Tasmanian Blackwood, Eucalypt and Queensland Maple.
Each piece is laser-cut, shaped, assembled by hand and finished with a plant-based oil that enhances the timber’s natural colour and grain.
How should I care for the timber?
To keep your lamp looking its best:
- Dust it regularly with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use chemical cleaners, furniture sprays or abrasive materials.
- Keep the lamp away from excess moisture, strong heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
How should I care for the rechargeable LED module?
Keep the LED module and USB-C connection clean and dry. Avoid dropping the module or exposing it to water, humidity, excessive heat or prolonged direct sunlight.
For extended storage, recharge the module periodically to help maintain battery condition. Only use a suitable USB power supply and the recommended charging cable.
Will my lamp look exactly like the photographs?
Natural timber varies in grain, colour and pattern. These variations are part of the material’s character, making every RS Studio lamp subtly individual. They are not considered faults or defects.
What colour is the light?
The removable LED module offers three colour-temperature settings:
- Warm white: 3000K
- Natural white: 4500K
- Cool white: 6000K
Warm white creates the softest and most atmospheric glow, while the other settings provide a clearer, cooler light.
Are RS Studio lamps sustainable?
Sustainability informs how each lamp is designed and made. We use sustainable timber, efficient laser-cutting processes that minimise waste, long-life LED lighting and a removable LED module that can be replaced independently of the timber frame.
